Review
The '90s decade belonged to Govinda who brought one hit after every other pleasing us together along with his zingy comedies. This movie possibly might paintings with him withinside the lead thirty years ago. Today, this sort of slapstick nonsense stuff has no location in Bollywood and sorry to say, no actor really well worth his salt can pull off a Govinda now!!
The tale of a Bollywood behind the curtain dancer (Vicky Kaushal) combating with a nagging wife (Bhumi Pednekar) and overtly having an affair together along with his collegue (Kiara Advani) is as stale as yesterday's pizza (consider Govinda's Saajan Chale Sasural). Add to it the tadka of a pending belongings case and a murder, Govinda Naam Mera seems to be an absurd and futile exercising on the quit of its hours ten mins of runtime. The dialogues fall flat, the humour seems in general pressured and the conditions as unreal as snow in aamchi Mumbai.
C'mon guys, which center magnificence homemaker overtly calls her lover domestic and makes her hubby dance in the front of him at the same time as she guzzles on a whiskey peg??!! If the concept become to create laughter, sorry it doesn't...
Acting wise, Bhumi and Kiara are strictly okey dokey. Marathi actor Amey Wagh receives a meaty function however can not upward thrust above the lacklustre script. Daya Shetty from CID, is aptly forged as Inspector Javed and one talk even references his well-known function in that television series. Above all, Vicky Kaushal attempts difficult to get in to the comedian mode right here however unfortunately, a Govinda he ain't!!
